A British primary school teacher was jailed for 15 days tonight by a Sudanese court after being convicted of inciting religious hatred for allowing children in her class to name a teddy bear Muhammad.
Gillian Gibbons, 54, from Liverpool, will be jailed and then deported from the country after being found guilty.
I persoanaly think that the Sudanese legal system has to take its course but common sense has to prevail, It's not about disrespect for Sudan, it's about being absolutely clear this is just an innocent misunderstanding, we should not forget that This was a person making a contribution to Sudanese society so let's just give her 'le bénéfice du doute' and be merciful as our prophet Mohamed preaches .
